What can I monitor through Seanturion Platform
Seanturion platform provides full visibility of all critical vessel and fleet parameters. You can monitor in real time the vessel’s location, battery status, bilge water levels, temperature, environmental conditions and data from all connected sensors and Hub devices.
Are there real-time alerts for faults or risks?
Yes. The Platform sends real-time alerts (via push notifications, email) for conditions that require immediate attention, such as high bilge water levels, low battery voltage, connection loss or geofence breach.
Alerts are fully customizable based on the user’s preferences.

Can I manage more than one boat with the same account?
Absolutely. You can connect and monitor multiple vessels or devices from a single account. Seanturion Platform supports fleet management with an overview dashboard, individual vessel status cards and filters for quick access and control.
Does the Seanturion Platform work offline?
The Platform stores the last known vessel data locally, allowing you to view recent information even without an active internet connection. However, live updates and real-time alerts require connectivity via Wi-Fi, LTE or satellite through the Hub devices.
Is there a data history for batteries, positions and sensors?
Yes. All operational data is automatically logged and securely stored in the cloud. Users can access detailed history for battery voltage, temperature, bilge levels, movement and GPS tracks. Historical data can be viewed per device or per vessel and exported for further analysis or maintenance records.

What types of sensors are supported?
Seanturion ecosystem supports a wide range of sensors for complete vessel monitoring, including:
• Bilge level sensors (for water level detection)
• Temperature and humidity sensors
• Digital input sensors for external signal detection
• Battery voltage and temperature sensors
Can I add more sensors later?
Yes, the Platform is fully expandable. You can add additional sensors at any time: wired or wireless (BLE) without reinstalling the Platform. All required configuration and integration are handled directly by our team for your convenience.
Are the sensors waterproof/suitable for marine use?
Yes. All sensors included in Seanturion ecosystem are specifically designed for marine use. They feature IP65 or higher protection ratings, corrosion and salt resistance and operate reliably even under extreme temperature and humidity conditions.
How do the sensors connect to the Hub?
Connection depends on the type of sensor:
• Wireless sensors (BLE) communicate directly with the Hub via Bluetooth Low Energy.
• Wired sensors connect through RS485, 1-Wire or Digital Input ports.
What happens if a sensor stops working?
If a sensor loses communication with the Hub, Seanturion Platform immediately notifies the user with an alert message. The platform allows for easy reconnection or reconfiguration through the app. If the issue persists, Seanturion’s technical support team is available for remote diagnostics or replacement assistance.

Can I receive alerts for high bilge water levels?
Yes. Using the Bilge Level Switch sensor, the Platform instantly detects the presence of water in the bilge and sends a notification to the user through the app. When the sensor is connected to a Hub device, the owner receives real-time warning messages in case of high bilge water levels or potential flooding.
Is GPS tracking supported?
Yes. The Hub devices (Core, Edge, Vision) are equipped with a built-in GNSS/GPS receiver that enables accurate real-time vessel tracking through Seanturion Platform. The user can view the vessel’s route, track history and set geofence zones for automated alerts.
Can the system notify me in case of theft / unauthorized movement?
Yes. The system continuously monitors the vessel’s position and movement. If motion is detected outside a defined area or without authorization, an alert is triggered for potential theft or towing.
Can I monitor onboard temperature & environmental conditions?
Yes. With temperature and humidity sensors, the user can monitor the vessel’s internal environment in real time. The Platform displays live readings and can send alerts in case of sudden temperature changes or abnormal conditions.
Is fleet management supported?
Yes. Seanturion Platform is designed for both individual vessels and professional fleets. Through Seanturion Platform, users can view all vessels in one interface, filter them by region or status and receive alerts for each one separately. Fleet management provides a complete overview, simplifying the operation and maintenance of multiple boats at once.

Can I monitor battery voltage and temperature?
Yes. Seanturion Platform, combined with the Smart Battery Sense sensor, allows continuous monitoring of battery voltage and temperature. Data is transmitted wirelessly to the Hub and displayed in Seanturion Platform in real time, enabling the user to always know the charging status and thermal behavior of the power system.
Will I get an alert if a battery runs low?
Yes. When a battery’s voltage drops below predefined limits, Seanturion Platform sends an alert to the user. Notifications can be customized based on the battery type and the desired safety thresholds, ensuring you are informed in time before any critical system shutdown occurs.
Is monitoring of multiple batteries supported?
Yes. Seanturion supports simultaneous monitoring of multiple batteries on the same vessel. Each Smart Battery Sense sensor is automatically detected by the Hub, allowing individual display of voltage and temperature for each battery within Seanturion Platform.
How accurate is the battery measurement?
Battery voltage and temperature readings are highly precise, with a deviation of less than ±0.3V for voltage and ±1°C for temperature. The sensor uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology for stable and reliable data transmission, ensuring consistent accuracy even under interference or long-distance conditions.
Connectivity
How does the Platform connect to the internet?
Seanturion Platform connects to the Internet through the Hub devices (Core, Edge, Vision), which act as central communication units. Depending on the model, the connection can be established via mobile network (LTE/2G/3G/4G), Wi-Fi or satellite (Iridium). Sensor data is transmitted automatically and securely to the cloud, allowing the user to access real-time information through Seanturion Platform.
Is a SIM card required?
Yes, for devices that use mobile network connectivity (LTE/2G/3G/4G). The SIM card usage cost is included in the selected subscription plan, so there are no additional charges for the user beyond the subscription itself.
What happens if the connection is lost?
If the Internet connection is temporarily lost, the Platform continues to operate locally. All data is stored within the Hub and automatically uploaded to the cloud once the connection is restored. This ensures that no information is lost and no data logging is interrupted.
Does Seanturion Platform work on both Android and iOS?
Yes. Seanturion Platform is available for both Android and iOS devices, offering a unified interface and automatic data synchronization. Users can access their vessel or fleet from any smartphone or tablet and receive real-time updates at any time.
Is Wi-Fi, LTE or satellite connectivity supported?
Yes.

Is the installation of the devices easy?

Can I install it myself or do I need a technician?
The installation can be performed by the user, provided they have basic electrical knowledge. However, for larger vessels or Platforms with multiple sensors, installation by an authorized Seanturion technician is recommended to ensure maximum reliability and proper configuration.
Is there a user manual with step-by-step instructions?
Yes. Each device comes with a detailed user manual and step-by-step installation guide, available in digital form through Seanturion Platform or the official website.
Is technical support available?
Yes. Seanturion technical support is available via email, phone or remote connection. Our team can perform diagnostic checks, sensor configuration, or software updates remotely, providing complete technical coverage wherever your vessel is located.
Is there a warranty for the devices?
Yes. All Seanturion devices are covered by a two (2) year warranty, which includes replacement or repair in case of a manufacturing defect. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation or misuse.

What is the cost of the basic package?
The basic Seanturion package includes the Core Hub device, cloud connectivity and access to the monitoring application. On Seanturion Sea~Shop, users can explore all available plans and features to choose the one that best fits their needs.
Are there monthly subscriptions?
No. However, Seanturion Platform operates with flexible subscription plans of different durations, designed to adapt to each user’s requirements. Each subscription level (Core, Edge, Vision) includes different connectivity options, sensor capabilities and alert features, covering both simple and advanced use cases.
Are there additional charges for sensor usage or alerts?
No. The sensors and alerts included in each subscription plan operate without any additional cost. Users can expand their Platform by adding extra sensors or upgrading to a higher-level plan whenever needed.
Can I start with a small package and upgrade later?
Absolutely. Users can start with a basic plan and upgrade at any time to a higher level (for example: from Core to Edge or Vision). The upgrade process is simple and can be completed directly through our support team.
Are there discounts for fleets or multiple boats?
Yes. For professional users or fleet operators managing multiple vessels, Seanturion offers special pricing and dedicated fleet management programs.
